Hi, I’m Xander Blaauw.

I’m a Dutch polymath working at the crossroads of science, technology, and whatever I decided to get deeply into this month. I love STEM in all its forms — physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics — and spend my days applying that curiosity to energy systems, data, and artificial intelligence.

I co-founded p[Ai]napple, an AI consultancy helping Dutch businesses build and deploy autonomous AI agents.

Lifelong gamer, full-stack developer, and someone who just bought a house with the explicit intent of home-automating it into the 22nd century — starting with smart lights and ending with household robots.

I’m also serious about privacy and digital sovereignty. I run my own server — self-hosted cloud (Nextcloud), my own Git repos, my own LLM inference, my own everything. No Google Drive, no GitHub, no Slack, no social media. The only big-tech concession is the Google account my Android phone requires, and I’m aware of the irony. I help others go as far down this rabbit hole as they want to through consulting at p[Ai]napple — whether that’s just getting off Google Drive or running their own infrastructure stack.

This site exists because LinkedIn asked for my ID and I told them where to go. No trackers here, no data harvesting — just a guy with a website.
